HIT A GLITCH with the new server – Working on it 🙂

THANK YOU for your prayers! I finally found the new audio / video conference server we have been praying for that is not on a public server or the cloud. It is very secure and best of all it does not run on FLASH!

I have been looking since 2018 and especially even more in the last few weeks so as to replace our current self-hosted conference server that will be killed off on December 31, 2020 thanks to Adobe dropping all support. I was rushing this search because I found that some browsers are already cutting off FLASH to their users and so we needed to get the new conference server before December 31.

I plan to start configuring the new system on Thursday when it arrives so as to be ready to hold church services and studies with all the brethren around the world within a week or so. Hopefully I will be getting back to writing new blog posts and making new videos about current events within just a few days. So please keep praying there are no snags or hiccups.

EVERYONE CAN LOG ON FROM ANY DEVICE – INCLUDING A LAND LINE PHONE:
This new server will work on iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and Unix. In short, it works flawlessly across all platforms. Plus, for those without a reliable Internet connection, they too will be able to dial a toll free number in 28 countries (so far) that is connected directly to this server to attend the meetings from a landline or their cell phone each Sabbath as well as on the other days of the week when we have Bible and Spirit of Prophecy study hours. And for those that don’t want to enter into the room itself because they don’t like the way the text chat scrolls at times, you can view the entire meeting (minus the text chat) on a webpage as well as listen live via WTPR or your phone!

The new server offers on screen sharing to all attendees, polling, private messaging, up to 5 separate meeting rooms, hand raising, microphone and video broadcast as well as simultaneous usage of both. What I mean is, we can assign 1 or any number of people to be the on mic and video at the same time if we want to so as to have an open discussion between a few people or even a very large crowd. There are also features to import video and website pages directly into the room in real time, whiteboard presentations where we can draw on a canvas or even on the webpage or video itself as it’s playing. Plus all rooms can be wide open or password protected for private meetings of many or one on one. There are also a few other nice features we won’t be using right off that can be “turned on” if and when the need arises.

We will be doing an online gathering soon so as to illustrate how easy this new conference room is to use. I looks totally different than the old one, but it works great! For now, please keep praying I hit no snags when I config the server.
